Alfie was surrendered to us after his owners could no longer care for him. Alfie is diabetic and needs daily insulin injections. Sadly, Alfie has been diagnosed with lymphoma, but will continue to be loved by us in foster care until he is ready to cross rainbow bridge.
Nemo was found as an uncastrated cat covered in ticks and fight wounds. He has had a full medical exam and blood tests, and has since been rehomed to a loving family!
Rosa was found on the streets with her three beautiful kittens (Inca, Ginny and Beatrix). We provided refuge for all of them, and they have since all been re-homed. Rosa has been spayed and can now play and live as the young cat she always should have been able to do!

As of 19th May 2022: Nottingham is currently within a Avian Flu protection and surveillance zone.
As most of our volunteers work in veterinary practice we are struggling to assess and rehab critical/young birds. A lot of veterinary practices can only offer end of life care due to the risk to human health and pet birds.
We are sorry and saddened for the inability to help in a lot of cases, we will try to continue to advise but it is likely we will refer cases onwards to other rescues.
We will update if and when the situation changes.
Thank you for understanding,
Team FAW
